Yin Yoga consists of deep long-holding poses, that stretch connective tissue and joint sites, while certain muscle-groups are relaxed. These long holding poses, together with the breath as an anchor, balance the organ systems of the body as well as developing stability in the joint sites.
This still yin practice is balanced by a more powerful vinyasa flow practice. Vinyasa means linking movement with breath. This continuous flow practice brings a lot of energy into the body, and, together with the yin combination, helps to reinstate a refreshing balance in body and mind.
There are no special requirements to join this flow practice – it is available to all who are open and willing.
